FAQ
The most important condition is that your child expresses a desire to become dry itself. Not when you think it's time that it becomes dry. If your child is not motivated, we advise you to not start training (yet).
One person wakes up more easily than the other. That is why we offer various types of bedwetting alarms. For the normal to deep sleeper, we recommend the Mickey bedwetting alarm. For the deep sleeper, we prefer the Contessa bedwetting alarm. For the very deep sleeper, it is possible to include a vibrating element with the Contessa. In the event of an alarm, not only will you hear a loud noise, but the element will vibrate under the pillow too. This will wake anyone up.
Each night-time bedwetting alarm is wireless and comes with a score card to track the progress of the training.
It is important to know that, at the beginning of the training, the user doesn't have to wake up from the alarm immediately. If they still don't respond adequately to the alarm after a week, please contact our helpdesk. We can give you tailored advice, so that your child will respond quickly to the alarm. This is crucial for an effective training.

The sensor briefs fit slightly larger than average. If you can't decide between two sizes, we recommend the smallest of the two. Our size chart might also offer a solution.
No, your child should only respond to the alarm that goes off when the bladder is completely full and the first drops are released in the Urifoon briefs. Waking your child up during the night yourself has 2 disadvantages:
- It is difficult to wake your child up fully, which means it's not aware of what is happening. With the bedwetting alarm training, your child will learn to become aware of when it's time to go to the bathroom.
- It is important that your child wakes up when it really needs to go or even when it has already started going. This because it needs to start recognising that moment. If you wake your child up at a moment determined by you, you deny it a learning moment during the training.
This happens a lot to children who go to the bathroom relatively little during the day and/or postpone that moment for a long time. It's important to let your child drink a lot during the day, and especially in the mornings, and to have it go to the bathroom frequently during the day (about every 1.5 to 2 hours). This will keep the bladder calm and will decrease the urine production during the night.

If your child has slept dry for 21 days without the need for the alarm, the bedwetting alarm shouldn't be necessary any more. Do keep an eye on it for the next 14 nights. If those nights are dry too, then the training has succeeded in our opinion.

In the mornings, you complete it together with your child, according to the explanation on the back. You always start with day 1 of the form. This is not related to the date of that day. After 4 weeks, you can email a copy of the completed score card to [email protected], so that we can go through the progress of the training thoroughly together with you.
You can download the score card by clicking here. Please note that you mention your name and client number when you send it back.
